Plasma Eye Lift Blepharoplasty
What is the Plasma Eye Lift?
Plasma Eye Lift is the latest German technology and an alternative to a Surgical Blepharoplasty. Our Non-Surgical Eye Lift is used to lift and tighten upper/lower eyelids with minimum downtime or risks such as those associated with surgical procedures or a traditional Co2 laser. We use the advanced HD Lipo Freeze Plasma Spark Pen to achieve this, as pictured below.

Plasma Eye Lifts are also a much more selective process than Radio Frequency or HIFU. The Plasma Spark Pen can be applied with precision due to the 0.3mm needle surface area, which works in a similar way to a traditional laser but without the associated risks.
The needle-like tip of the Plasma Spark Pen used in the treatment never penetrates skin tissue but causes a controlled superficial burn to restore the skin’s natural elasticity.
A Plasma Eye Lift is a permanent solution to skin drooping over the eyes, with patients seeing results from just 1 -2 treatments.*
*Results may vary from person to person. More sessions may be required for some.

How Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty Works:
The Plasma Eye Lift works by using a voltaic current to ionise the natural gases in the air, turning them into plasma. Plasma is the name given to the spark created naturally by the gasses. The plasma will create a tiny superficial burn or ‘dot’ when the tip of the Plasma Spark Pen is placed close to the skin. Repeated ‘dots’ are created using plasma. The skin tissue instantly vaporises which leaves a carbon crust on the area.
Once the carbon crust naturally falls off, the skin will be tighter and firmer.
Results are seen immediately after treatment and continue to improve in the first two weeks while the skin heals. After that, there is a further improvement with gradual regeneration of the skin.

The procedure:
- First, a patch test is conducted to show you how the treatment works, and test if you are comfortable with it. Following this, a numbing cream is applied to the area above and around the eyes and left to take effect for approximately 30 minutes.
- The treatment area is cleaned and sterilised with antiseptic.
- The 0.3mm needle is positioned close to the skin surface without touching, creating a superficial micro-burn. The patient will experience a warm sensation.
- A series of micro-burns will be created in the area with an average session only lasting 30 minutes.
- Patients will experience redness and swelling which subsides in 1 -3 * days. A cold compress can be used to reduce swelling.
*Swelling will subside in 1-3 days but can vary from person to person.

After Care:
Immediately after the treatment, patients will experience slight discomfort and irritation for some hours. Swelling is common and will subside in 1-3 days*. It’s important to keep the area clean and dry by using warm water. A cold compress can be used to reduce swelling.
Patients are advised to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen for up to 6 weeks following treatment and to avoid direct sunlight and sunbeds during healing. The area must not be covered with any make-up or mascara until the area has healed completely after several days.
After 3-5 days, the scabs/crusts will flake off. While it is tempting to scratch at the scabs, you must not do so but let the scabs flake off naturally. Otherwise, this could lead to infection and scarring.
In rare cases, blistering can appear which is all part of the healing. As a result of this, make sure to keep the area clean and dry. After the skin has healed, patients will notice new skin tissue appearing that is pink in colour. It will gradually return to the original skin colour in some weeks.
*Generally swelling will subside in 1-3 days but this can vary from person to person.
