PCR Test for Traveling to Dubai

For your convenience, we now have a regularly updated Covid-19 travel advice portal which has lots of information about flying from the UK to Dubai and the UAE including PCR test requirements.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s important to know what the current guidelines are when travelling to Dubai from the United Kingdom. All passengers are required to provide a certificate for a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) swab test showing a negative COVID-19 test result before boarding the plane. The Results for the COVID-19 PCR Travels tests will need to be in the form of an Email or a Printed certificate obtained within 96 hours before travel.

Dubai Travel Guidelines

The guidelines for flying to Dubai recommend that you bring a printed or digital certificate when travelling to Dubai. Children under the age of 12 years old are exempt as well as passengers who have a moderate or serve disability.  Our PCR travel tests which are available provide you with an official document via email as a PDF  which is Government approved for travel.

All travellers travelling to Dubai, either directly or via a connecting flight from the United Kingdom are required to complete a health declaration form to hand it in to staff at check-in.

When to take a PCR Test

Dubai requires evidence of a negative PCR test within a 96-hour period before travelling. The following information is intended as a guide when you are considering booking a test prior to your flight:

For Example, your Flight is booked for Saturday 22nd August

You will need a negative PCR test Certificate 96 hours before the flight, so you would need to choose one of the following options:

 

In-clinic Appointment 48 hours return

This would need to be booked in for Wednesday 19th August

You will receive your results via email from the lab directly to the email address you provided when taking the test, on Friday 21st August

 

In-clinic Appointment 24 hours Return – (this option is only available in Birmingham and London)

This would be booked on Thursday 20th August

You will receive your results via email from the lab directly to the email address you provided when taking the test, on Friday 21st August

 

Home Test Kits

This would need to be ordered on Monday 17th August before 12 pm to receive the next working day Tuesday 18th August before 1 pm.

You will then need to send your test sample back to the laboratory on Tuesday 18th August.

You will receive your results via email from the lab directly to the email address you provided when taking the test, on Friday 21st August.
