Cryolipolysis, also known as Fat Freezing, is a safe and non-invasive method of fat reduction. The treatment relies on the scientific principle that fat cells cannot survive at sub-zero temperatures. What happens during Cryolipolysis?

Before you begin the treatment, your therapist will place an Anti-Freeze Membrane onto the target area. We do this for safety reasons, as it stops the skin from coming into direct contact with the applicator and prevents side effects such as burns and blisters. After the Anti-Freeze Membrane has been applied to the target area, the applicator is placed on top. Vacuum suction is used to pull the target area up into the applicator, where the cooling plates freeze the area to approximately -7 degrees Celsius.

Your therapist will check the area every 15 minutes and replace the Anti-Freeze Membrane if necessary.

Is Cryolipolysis painful?

Generally, Cryolipolysis is not a painful treatment. However, you may feel discomfort when the area is pulled up into the applicator. Please note that this will vary depending on the sensitivity of your skin.

What areas can be treated?

Cryolipolysis can be used to treat areas such as the upper and lower abdomen, love handles, arms, legs and back.

How long does the treatment take?

This will depend on how many areas you are having treated in one session. If you are having one or two areas treated, the treatment will last roughly 1 hour, including a 30-minute consultation.

When can I see results?

What is 360 Cryolipolysis?

The difference between regular Cryolipolysis and 360 Cryolipolysis is the applicator that is used. The regular Cryolipolysis applicator has a rectangular shape, and two cooling plates which freeze the target area on two sides. While this is effective, the 360 Applicator is dome shaped, and freezes fat cells from all angles. Therefore, with 360 Cryolipolysis, you can target more fat cells in fewer sessions.

Do I need to do anything after the treatment?

We advise that you only eat a light meal following your Cryolipolysis procedure. You should aim to drink around 2 to 3 litres of water a day. This stimulates the flow of the lymphatic system and helps to flush out the broken-down fat cells. Furthermore, you should apply HD Thermal Sculpt Cream at least once a day, preferably after a shower.
