Ultrasound Cavitation
Ultrasound Cavitation involves transmitting low-level frequencies into the skin. Once our practitioner has marked the targeted areas, they will then operate the applicator in a circular movement, transmitting the low-level frequency to the desired areas. Patients may experience a slight buzzing sound due to the sound waves; this is in no way irritable. The treatment will last approximately 20-30 minutes, although the length of time is dependent upon the individual’s fat tissue density.
[summary procedure_time=”30 mins” back_to_work=”Immediately” anaesthetic=”Not required” full_recovery=”Immediately” sensitivity_period=”Minor” number_of_treatments=”4-6 treatments” results=”Varies” results_duration=”Long-term results” potential_risks=”Mild Redness”]
It is important not to tan during your treatment as this could cause your skin to become overly sensitive to the sound waves. We recommend not tanning three days before your treatment to maximise results and minimise any risks.
Other than a little redness around the localised area, this procedure is completely harmless, and patients can expect a pleasant session each time.

Ultrasound Cavitation Sessions
One Ultrasound Cavitation session often results in a 1-5cm reduction in the layer of fat. However, for optimum results, you may require multiple sessions (see research), depending on the layer of fat being treated. Each session is conducted no longer than 2-3 days apart; this is to ensure the cells do not reabsorb the fat. This also allows us to monitor your progression and cater to your every need at each step of the way to ensure optimal results*.

How does it work?
Aftercare
Patients must drink plenty of water when undertaking treatment, as this will help metabolise the glycerol and fatty acids released from the fat cells. Healthy eating is advised during and after treatment to maintain results.
It is also important to refrain from consuming any alcoholic substance until three days after your treatment. This will enable your liver to remove fats more effectively without prioritising the metabolism of alcohol, which could impede results.
